What it is
Transition 2.0 is a light-lift, outcomes-focused pilot from SAVI that empowers you to:
Activate core federal benefits (health care, disability, pension when eligible) using plain-language guides built from the 2025 Federal Benefits Guide.
Plug into trustworthy support, including VSOs/providers and peer communities.
Map your next moves across SAVI’s four transition tracks: Employment, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Retirement
Leave with a simple, one-
page roadmap you’ll
actually use.
Eligibility
Meet any three of the following four criteria
- Benefit activation–ready in the next 30–60 days (e.g., VA health care, disability claim starter, pension if eligible).
- Realign your goals for life after service (income, housing, education/trainina location, family).
- Community reconnection with reputable VSOs/providers and peer networks.
- Gain clarity and confidence from a practical next-steps plan
- Baseline: you’re 12+ months post-separation.
How the pilot works
(6 months)
Self-service learning modules with checklists & templates (federal benefits education + track-specific action steps).
Two live cohort sessions (kickoff planning + progress checkpoint).
Monthly Help Desk office hours (drop-in Q&A with SAVI).
Simple progress tracking to see benefits activated and goals moving from “planned” to “in progress.”
Note: This pilot emphasizes self-service + group support. Case-by-exception 1:1 assistance may be offered if needed.

Is this free?
While designed to enhance the MIC experience, we welcome all Veterans and supporters whether attending the main conference or not.
Do I lose access to other SAVI programs?
No. If you later qualify for our flagship 1:1 program, we’ll guide that transition.
How much time does this take?
About 1–2 hours per month, plus two live sessions over six months.
What if I’m under 12 months post-separation?
You may be a better fit for SAVI’s flagship program. Note this on the form and we’ll route you correctly.
