SAVI Transition 2.0 Initiative℠: pilot interest list

Transition 2.0 is a condensed, six-month program in development for Veterans who separated more than a year ago and did not get the transition support they needed the first time.

We are building the pilot now. Add your name to the interest list and we will contact you when a cohort opens. The pilot is planned for 2027.

What it is

Transition 2.0 is a light-lift, outcomes-focused pilot from SAVI that empowers you to:

  • Activate core federal benefits (healthcare, disability, and pension when eligible) using plain-language guides built from the 2025 Federal Benefits Guide.

  • Plug into trustworthy support, including Veteran service organizations, providers, and peer communities.

  • Map your next moves across SAVI's four transition Tracks: Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Retirement.

  • Leave with a simple, one-page roadmap you'll actually use.

Eligibility

Meet any three of the following four criteria

  • Ready to activate benefits in the next 30 to 60 days (for example, healthcare, a disability claim, or a pension if eligible).
  • Realign your goals for life after service (income, housing, education or training, location, family).
  • Community reconnection with reputable Veteran service organizations, providers, and peer networks.
  • Gain clarity and confidence from a practical next-steps plan.

How the pilot works (six months)

  • Self-service learning modules with checklists and templates (federal benefits education plus Track-specific action steps).

  • Two live cohort sessions (kickoff planning and a progress checkpoint).

  • Monthly office hours (drop-in questions with SAVI).

  • Simple progress tracking to see benefits activated and goals moving from "planned" to "in progress."

This pilot emphasizes self-service and group support. One-on-one assistance may be offered case by case if needed.

Is this free?

Yes. All SAVI programs are free to Veterans.

Do I lose access to other SAVI programs?

No. If you later qualify for our flagship one-on-one program, we'll guide that transition.

How much time does this take?

About one to two hours per month, plus two live sessions over six months.

What if I'm under 12 months post-separation?

You may be a better fit for SAVI's flagship program. Note this on the form and we'll route you correctly.

Privacy and data use

SAVI never sells personal data. We use your information only to assess fit, enroll eligible participants, deliver resources, and report aggregated, de-identified outcomes.
